Carb dense Veggies How much is too much???

How often do you all include carb dense veggies in you meals (sweet potatoes, squashes, ect...)  I plan on working out 5 days a week but only two of those will be intense cardio or lifting the others will be yoga, pole dance, zumba so on…I am roughly 40 pounds over weight this may make a difference Im not sure

Hi Danielle,

 

Your need for carb dense veggies will really depend on you.  I would start off with a definite post work out meal of a carb dense veggie and protein.  For instance after my post work out meal yesterday was a fist sized portion of sweet potato and a small palm full of cooked sliced chicken breast.  Keep in mind that pre work out should have more fats, whereas post work out should have little to no fats.  (This will help with the weight loss thing)

 

On work out days I would definitely include a carb dense veggie somewhere in your day - just to give you energy.  Some people may need more, some people less.  But the post work out meal?  I highly recommend it.
