Turnip "Hash"

I'm more of a kitchen hacker than a cook but this is a dish I came up with and it has been a Whole30 staple.  On my Whole50 I have eaten this 26 times.  I usually have homemade turkey sausage with it but sometimes I have it with fried eggs.  Hot sauce is really good with it.  One batch usually gets me 4 or 5 meals.  It's different every time because I will add or remove ingredients all the time and sometimes I measure the spices, other times I just eyeball it.  I have been told that calling it a hash is an insult to hash but it works for me.  Almost everything is optional.

Ingredients:

  • 4-5 turnips,
  • 1 onion,
  • 6-8 cloves garlic,
  • 1 bell pepper,
  • 2 hot peppers, (I usually use jalapeño or serrano and I use the ribs/seeds)
  • Radishes,
  • Green onion,
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp ghost pepper salt
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • cilantro (I use stem and leaves)
  • carrots
  • bok choy
  • coconut oil

Instructions:

  1. Chop all veggies.
  2. Add coconut oil to skillet
  3. Add veggies to skillet and sauté
  4. Add spices.
  5. Enjoy
