Lemu's Whole 30

I am starting my first Whole 30 tomorrow. I have a rash on my face along with adult acne and I hope that cleaning up what I eat will help to clear up my skin. I also look forward to having more energy to help me survive the rest of this long winter.

Woke up too late for Breakfast, but also wasn't feeling very hungry. Here's my food log for today:

Morning: Lavazza espresso + water

Lunch: Salad: Spinach, chicken breast, mixed greens, cucumber, mushrooms, black olives, hard boiled egg, half an avocado, and tomatoes. Balsamic vinegar and olive oil for dressing. Lime la croix.

Dinner: Lettuce wraps with ground beef cooked with yellow bell pepper, onion, zucchini, coconut aminos and spices. Cooked with coconut oil. Tomato with a little olive oil and sea salt.

Chai black tea.

Try to at least eat the low end of the recommended meal template within an hour of waking. That would be 1 palm of protein, 1 cup of veggies and a thumb-sized (or equivalent of appropriate fat). It's an important way to start your day.

Another recommendation is to hold off having caffeine until after your meal 1, as caffeine can be an appetite suppressant.

Thanks.  I intend to try to get some breakfast tomorrow. It's difficult to cook in the morning.

I agree, and I don't.  :)

I rotate through a handful of baked fritatta recipes that make 4-6 servings each. I cook once (usually in the afternoon), and then have breakfast for 4-6 days. It's a beautiful thing.
