serka1ee
Hi! I will be eating here tonight and would love thoughts on what to order. I was thinking beef tartare with brussel sprouts requested to be cooked in olive oil? http://www.thenomadhotel.com/mobile/#/dining/menus/dinner
bleu romaine
I have worked in a restaurant my whole life and my recommendations would be to simply tell the server what your food restrictions are. Then ask the server what he/she would recommend. It makes the whole ordering process WAY easier for everyone!!!! Good luck;)
GFChris
If you ask for things to be cooked in olive oil, be sure it's 100% olive oil. Many restaurants have a blend of olive and something else. Olive/canola is ok, olive/soybean is not. The scallop or beef entree look promising. See if they can prepare either in a compliant way.On the brussel sprouts, I would be concerned the bacon is not compliant. It's tough to get compliant (sugar-free) bacon in restaurants. praxisproject
Call ahead and speak to the restaurant, let them know what day you're coming and work out your order. When you arrive, you can tell the server the chef has your order already (or whatever they decide). Smooth, no fuss
