tv.caroline
Checking labels on coconut milk and one brand has "microcrystalline cellulose and potassium metabisulfite" the other, more expensive, organic brand has guar gum. I don't know what any of these things are. Do I need to get the more expensive brand? Is it compliant with guar gum? I haven't started my Whole30 yet, I am gathering pantry ingredients and starting the day after St. Patrick's Day.
Moderators Tom Denham Posted March 1, 2014 Moderators Share Posted March 1, 2014 The (metabi)sulphites are one of the three horrible additives mentioned in the Whole30 rules. Eating any is grounds for starting over. Guar gum, on the other hand, is okay.
