lovesmatt29
It looks like you are doing super! I was so happy to make it through day 9 because I caved on day 8 during my last attempt! Did you put any dressing on your lunch today? It seems like without it would be a very lowfat lunch. I love to spray Olive oil and sprinkle salt on my salads. It tastes good and is so cheap and easy and I know exactly what is in it. Some salad dressings are scary! Keep moving!
TCoble
I've never been a fan of dressings or really any condiment, so I eat my salads dry. It's been kind of rough having salads everyday but I really don't like bringing anything that needs re-heating to work. I need to find a good pasta sauce recipe and make up some spaghetti squash (I found that my favorite sauce from Trader Joes has added sugar!). I realy like that and it re-heats well. TCoble
Wednesday, Day 10 Breakfast was more of the same; its a good thing I like it. Scrambled eggs with spinach carrot and sweet potato hash (I don't think I've said this befoe but I grate a carrot and half a sweet ptato, throw into a pan with coconut oil and fry it up - so tasty!) Lunch - this went a little side ways. My wife had made an egg and broccoli muffin thing on Sunday that she said was really good. We still had a couple left and I thought aI would try them for my lunch. Since I didn't have one when they were fresh, I'm not sure if something had turned or not but they did not smell good or taste good. So into the garbage went my lunch. Luckily I had also packed an orange. Suprisingly, I made it through the rest of the day without major hunger pangs. Dinner Roasted pork tenderlion wrapped in bacon Broccoli sweet potato handful of cashews

Richter84
Hey there! I am on day 2 and like your postings it's really helpful to see what other people are eating! I used to eat 3 meals a day and 1-2 snacks and i'm noticing you mainly just eat 3 meals. Do you ever feel starving?? Yesterday was day 1 and had a pretty bad headache! Also, i saw you had shepards pie one night...do you have a recipe you could share?
TCoble
Waaay behind in my log so I'll just do a quick update for the last few days. Breakfast has been the same – I like it and it's easy to make. We found an organic marinara that does NOT have added sugar. You would think that wouldn't be too difficult but almost everyone adds cane juice to their tomato sauce. Anyway, cooked up some spaghetti squash and browned up some ground turkey to make a pretty good dinner and lunch leftovers. My wife tried a ginger garlic chicken recipe from the 21 Day Sugar detox book. Very good! That with some veggies has taken care of a couple of dinners. A couple of dinners out – Red Lobster for grilled salmon and green beans and Texas Road House for a nice steak, sweet potato and steamed veggies. I'm feeling good and noticed yesterday that I can use a new hole in my belt!
TCoble
In answer to your questions, I'm starving in the mornings but lunch and dinner I really haven't been hungry. I really like that fact that Whole 30 gives you some guidance on portions and types of food - proteins, fats etc. I tried a 30 day paleo challenge and other than the don't eat this stuff there was no quidance and I struggled through it. I'll look for the Shepard's Pie recipe - I can tell you it was pretty simple, we used cauliflower for the base and added carrots and broccoli along with some ground bison. It was pretty good but missing the cheesy goodness of the real thing.
