I'm in Australia so it's the end of my first day ( starting 10th March).

How did everyone go with Day 1?!

I really struggled to finish my breakfast - made an omelette with a heap of greens sauted in coconut oil - but it did keep me going til lunch :)

Hi all! Can I play too? I started my second Whole30 today, and could definitely use some buddies this time around. I did my first round last January (really, over a year ago?!). I had really great results, I felt great, and then decided I didn't need to be so rigid in my eating habits. Plus, I was going through a divorce and eating was a great comfort for me. I've since gotten to a better place mentally and am ready to embrace this as a life change. I miss how good I felt afterwards.

I got myself set up and ready to go yesterday. My biggest challenge is going to be eating at my boyfriend's house. He's incredibly supportive, but leans heavily on convenience and prepackage foods (Hello Schwans!). All in all, I'm feeling pretty good today, although tired. Hoping this passes quickly this time around!

I started yesterday with my wife and we are on Day 2!  I'd love to keep this thread going and have some people to chat with working on the same timeline.   Day one was ok for us but a little more difficult in the evening.  Today is good so far and my energy fairly high and I haven't had any issues keeping up at work.  Pork chop and eggs for breakfast and left over goulash (ground beef, tons of veggies and tomato sauce) from supper yesterday for lunch.  How are things going with everyone else?

This was my day three and I really struggled with energy and tiredness despite another good nights sleep.

Felt fine with regards to mood and hunger but oh so tired!!

Made a delicious mash with pumpkin, carrot, coriander, coconut flakes and ghee to go with my tandoori chicken (from nom nom paleo -so good) and am thinking mashed veg is gonna be a good way to go for breakfasts too.

How's everyone's day coming along?

My day 3 I had some energy issues yesterday and had a nap.  I skipped a planned workout for the same reason.  I told myself I can always do it today!  I think a key may to have some goals for the day but be prepared to push them back depending on how you feel.

Any updates from anyone?  Below is an example of how I journal my Whole30:

I noticed today that I haven't been clearing my throat as much today (this is a long standing habit that had gotten worse on days 1 through 3).    I was still fairly achy in my joints (shoulders and a bit in my hips) when I woke up.   Energy was good through the day until I got home from work and I felt like I reallllly needed a nap.  I didn't give in today and sat down for about 20 minutes with a dog on my lap and just chilled out 'til it passed.   Went for a walk a bit sooner in the evening (around 7:30) so the sun was still up.  I exercised as soon as I got home from the walk and settled down for the night after.  I didn't get into bed and fall asleep until after midnight so we'll see what my update says about energy levels tomorrow.......

Breakfast: 3 eggs with bell pepper with a coffee and coconut milk

Lunch: Spinach garden salad (no dressing, I don't mind!), a ripe avocado  and home made pork patties

Supper: Chicken tenders with almonds crust fried in coconut oil and sweet potato fries (also fired in coconut oil)

Mood and Energy:  Woke up before my alarm but took 15 minutes to get up.  A bit foggy for the first 30 minutes after getting up.  Wanted to nap but rested for 20 minutes in a lazy boy instead

Exercise:  Walked 7.4 kms throughout the day.  10 sets switching between lower weight bicep curls (with an EZ curl bar) and beginners planking

Rest:  Watched yet another hockey game and hung out with my family

Just had breakfast out with friends to start my Day 6.

Had no trouble ordering as the cafe we go to have a breakfast menu and then an idividual sides selection as well.

Poached egg, pulled ham hock, mushrooms, spinach and avocado with black filtered coffee - delicious!!

One of my friends ordered similarly as she is cutting back on gluten in her diet since her father was recently diagnosed with  Celiac and she thinks she might have GS.

Everyone was very supportive and interested in the Whole30 and I dont have to worry about missing out on socialising when its organised around food.

Feeling pretty great today :)

Good for you.  I think we'll be eating from home for another 23 days yet......fighting temptation is hard enough from home.  Is everyone still going?  I'm wondering if anyone that started this day has quit yet.

Day 10 for me. I've had some trying moments but have stuck to it. I needing to find some different recipes that doesn't take a long time as I work and am hungry by the time I get home. I suppose I'm just not eating enough. How is everyone else doing?

Ive been making a couple of easy to freeze/reheat meals that serve 4 once a week so Ive always got something in the fridge/freezer that's ready to go for either work lunches or dinners when I cant be bothered or am starving :)

Most of my recipes for those have come from the Nom Nom Paleo app and theclothesmakethegirl.com

Then I just alternate between those and some fresh cooked/grilled meat and veg.

Been feeling pretty good about the food so far and not doing too bad with hunger levels - though i did eat half a cooked cold chicken breast when I got home from work the other day ;)

Thank you very much! I will look at those two sites. The frozen meals is a great idea, especially for the days it get home late from work.

I found a wonderful butcher shop (all grass fed) near my work yesterday. Bought some skirt steak and it was so full of flavor cooked on the grill. I am also planning to attend a vegetable festival next weekend. I hope to discover new recipes/flavors. :)

Hey guys! I started on march 13 so this is day 12 for me. I hope you don't mind me jumping in now! I have had a lot of energy. Some cravings but I have been able to ignore them. Had to find new things to eat to keep it interesting.
