Pork cooked in a crock pot with black beans

Friends invited us for dinner.  Making cuban pork.  I asked to see the ingredients and while being VERY annoyed, the hostess reluctantly agreed and everything is kosher (as far as I can tell) except for the beans, which will be cooked in the slow-cooker with the pork.  As I'm new to this whole things (19 days in, but only heard of it 20 days ago) I'm not sure if the things we dislike about beans will cook into the "sauce" thus making the pork not okay to eat.  Please advise!

I wouldn't think that the beans would "leak" anything into the meat while cooking.  Hopefully a mod can answer as that is a tricky one.  I'd think it would be safe to consume the meat and leave the beans off.
