Hi! I'm starting March 17! Maybe we can keep in touch. I'm sure others will be starting around this time too. I'm excited but nervous..I have such a sweet tooth! But some old, bad habits have crept back into my lifestyle and it's time to kick them to the curb! What are your reasons for taking on this challenge? (If you don't mind me asking)

Hi,

I am brand new and starting tomorrow, 3/17.

Wishing you both luck and delicious food!

I have been planning this week's meals, and hoping I can still stay on budget!

I am doing whole 30 to find out what other sensitivities I may have (definitely bothered by wheat although I have never tested as allergic) and suspect dairy bothers me. I find that I feel better in general eating clean but have two daughters and often end up eating gluten free breads, treats with them. So, I am interested to see how I feel without all of that and the other things that are not on this plan.

Thanks for the budget article, GFChris!

I thought yesterday went pretty well. I had prepped homemade turkey sausage on Sunday, so I had that with an egg/veggie scramble, tomatoes, guacamole, and roasted cabbage (leftover) for breakfast.

Lunch was grilled steak, green beans, guacamole, salad. Dinner: roasted sweet potato cubes, Nom Nom's chile lime chicken, blueberries with coconut milk.

I really wanted to snack after our kids were in bed but had two cups of peppermint tea, instead.

This morning? Headache. I am having caffeinated tea, hoping that will help.

How are you all, and what was your favorite thing you are yesterday?

Hello everyone! I've just started W30 as well so will be keeping an eye on these posts to keep going when the going gets tough :)

Yesterday I spent more on groceries than I usually do in a couple of weeks! I'm a student so I don't tend to buy much meat. Am interested to see how much body reacts to it - so far I think it's just made me feel fuller. Which is great!

Have you read that W30 timeline? Not looking forward to the "kill all the things" stage :)

I think my day went well. I do need to cook more at dinner so I have a large portion for lunch the next day. I did miss wine tonight, I think I will go have some tea instead.

I am off to look for the timeline!

Hi, all,

Happy day 3 -- hope you are all doing well!

The rest of yesterday was better after I drank more tea, more water and ate sweet potatoes for lunch.

Made the plantain nachos last night -- very tasty! My husband and older daughter are all the fixings except the plantains, and added cheese and sour cream. I had planned to make cauliflower rice but ended up just roasting it after it took me longer than I thought to make the rest of dinner.

Also picked up some sunbutter and macadamia nuts to help me through any cravings. My hardest moments so far have been when I'm prepping food for the kids -- cheese or peanut butter -- and have to avoid putting some in my mouth!!

Been having fun perusing whole 30 stuff on Instagram and Pinterest, too.

Hi! I started yesterday, so a day behind you. I'm still feeling good, slept very well last night. No signs of carb flu. This is my first whole30, but I did do South Beach a few years back and phase 1 kind of looks like it except for no dairy. I miss my cheese! I'm a huge cheese lover. I'm really looking forward to the next couple of weeks. I'm limiting myself to no fruit and no snacks, just the three meals, because I think I will cheat way to often if I don't.

Looking forward to dinner, I marinated pork because It's just discusting how much meat contains sugar....and I'm having sweet potatoes. I love sweet potatoes :)

Good luck everyone, I will keep an eye on this forum every once in a while
