PatrickDickey
I know that Citric Acid is acceptable during the Whole 30. But, does it matter how it was made? I have some brats that have "citric acid from fruits & canola oil" listed. So, I guess I'm trying to figure out if those are acceptable or not (that's the only questionable ingredient in them). Have a great day.Patrick.
praxisproject
I've never seen that on any packaging in Australia. It may be unrelated, but citric acid is often used as a "de-gummer" when cleaning oil-making facilities. I'd be interested to know if it could be some kind of byproduct, but it could just be a weird label. You could try contacting the manufacturer with some questions.
