Izzy00
Hi everyone, this is my second Whole30. My first was all of Jan 2014 and was amazing> i felt great, looked amazing, lost cms from everywhere.. I went off it while i was in honeymoon and travelling for work and now back on it. Since about day 15 I have felt bloated and not great in general. the only difference is I havent eaten sweet potato because I havent been able to find it (I live in Jordan and it seems that its not in season in the middle east- I am constantly looking) I have tried to have veggies high in carbs to compensate. I am not sure what I am doing wrong.. I do crossfit 6 times a week. I think i eat enough food. the only other thing i suspect was I have been eating too much fruit.... lately i am finding that i am constantly hungry. I am eating a lot of protein and veggies and fats, such as avocado. Dont know why i feel hungry... any advice would be helpful... thanks everyone!!! Moderators Tom Denham Posted April 2, 2014 Moderators Share Posted April 2, 2014 Your gut bacteria may be in a different place this time after going from Whole30 to off-plan to back on Whole30. It may take some time for the gut bacteria to fully adjust. Digestive enzymes might help, as well as fermented foods like sauerkraut, kimchi, and kombucha. Doing Crossfit 6 times per week is a lot. Are you eating pre and post workout meals in addition to three regular meals? That means you would be eating 5 times per day on workout days per the meal template: http://whole9life.com/book/ISWF-Meal-Planning-Template.pdf
cwildwest1
I sympathize with how you are feeling. I am on Day 17 of my first Whole30 and feeling awful too. I have a little headache that won't go away, am tired and feel bloated. I am following the template for meals, having breakfast and getting a post-WO protein and veggie after hiking or running every day. I am looking forward to feeling better soon. I hope you do as well. whyte68
I don't think you're eating enough carbs. They make you feel full and with crossfit 6 x's a week, you NEED carbs and lots of them. Good luck!
