Whole30 Certified Coach littleg Posted April 2, 2014 Whole30 Certified Coach Share Posted April 2, 2014 I'm on Day 25. I called my local Chipotle and they are soy-free besides tofu. He confirmed the carnitas are made just with sunflower oil. At this point should I just wait 5 days? I think I just answered my own question I'm just in the mood for Carnitas and guac. And not doing dishes.
GFChris
You can have carnitas at Chipotle on a Whole30, as sunflower oil is allowed.
Vian
Chipotle was the only place I ate out on my whole30, because it's the only place where I knew it was EASY to get safe food (without all the embarassing questions to the waiter and hassle). I would always get a carnitas salad without dressing and with the fajita veggies and have them load it up with guac and salsa.

Um, per this Chipotle ingredients website, the fajita veggies are not Whole30 compliant, as they are cooked in rice bran oil. https://www.chipotle.com/en-us/menu/ingredients_statement/ingredients_statement.aspx
Chrystee
So glad I read this, I had no idea they use rice bran oil. Why? ARGH.
