I'm starting my first whole 30 April 12th. I'm using this week to get my kitchen in order - as well as getting psyched for this!

Anyone else out there starting around this time? My husband is doing it with me, but he isn't as carb addicted as I am so I'll need lots of support!  :P

I posted originally that I am started the 10th - it seemed weird to start in the middle of the week - so I decided to start on the 12th as well!! I am very very very carb addicted as well. My boyfriend will probably join me to some extent ... he has crohns and I'd like to see him really get on board, but we'll see. I am prepping my kitchen this week too. I just spent about 84$ at costco today on vegetables, a little fruit, and some nuts (dry roasted pecans and almonds). I'm psyching myself up for this too. Good luck!

I'm glad to have a buddy on here for the journey. I'm shopping tomorrow and going to try some meals this week just to get in the hang of it. I'm thinking of cooking next Sunday and trying to prep for the week. Are you making a menu, etc? Just curious how someone else is going to do it.

I have been diagnosed with celiacs and fibromyalgia and I'm excited and a little scared to see how this is going to affect me.

Good luck - we can do this!

Hi!

I'm starting then too. I've spent the weekend reading, reading, reading. Since going paleo I seem to have swapped one kind of sugar for another, so I'm hoping this will help me get rid of that addiction.

I've been trying to get my head around the breakfast/meal 1 idea. So I might trial a couple of things during the week to see how I find it because I can't eat eggs every day.

As long as my eggs are different - I can do eggs... I'm worried about lunches - I only have 30 minutes and thats enough time to eat and thats it - I don't want to spend a ton of time prepping my lunch but I am also worried I'm going to get tired of salad rather quickly. I know I don't *have* to eat a salad but it seems like the easiest route to go.

I bought some Tessmae's dressings today - they are excellent - olive oil, vinegar, spices and lemon juice. Totally paleo and NO SUGAR! Wahoo! I was looking at bacon and other regular grocery items --- I definitely did not realize that EVERYTHING has sugar in it - even things you wouldn't expect like Bratwurst! Why does a bratwurst need corn syrup?

SO FRUSTRATING! Did find organic no sugar added applesauce and I'm pretty excited about that. Good luck!
