Ecolimonsters
Today is Day 14 for me.....I have read the timeline of how this supposed to play out and it was helpful but not to a tee for me, but I know everyone is different. The first week for me was a breeze, BUT I was home. I had a week off for my Kid's spring break so I was able to focus on the meals and planning, etc. The second week and going back to work were super hard. It wasn't the food, it was the headaches and the overwhelming tired feeling in the evening. I normally don't experience headaches, but this has been outrageous. One day I was not able to get rid of the headache despite taking Aleve. I've been trying to figure out what is wrong or what it is that I'm going through because it doesn't seem to fit that I would experience detox symptoms on the second week rather the first, right? Has there been reports of headaches during this program around the half way mark? Also, what's up with the tired feeling, I thought I was supposed to have boundless energy around this time? GFChris
As you said, everyone is different in how they feel going through the 30 days. To best help you, if you post 2-3 days worth of your food log, along with your daily water intake, nightly hours of sleep and your activity level/exercise routine, folks here can give you feedback on possible tweaks. Also, give an idea how different your Whole30 eating is from how you ate pre-Whole30.
Ecolimonsters
Thanks for the reply. I've been trying to remember everything I ate but honestly I'm having a hard time. I will start keeping a log tomorrow and post it if the problem persists. Before this I was "off the wagon" basically eating a S.A.D. Lots of pizza as my boys absolutely ove it and with their sports we are often rushing to figure dinner out. Before slipping back into this lifestyle I had been relatively clean eating but still ate diary and gluten. The gluten was from whole grains like farro and barley but this is still gluten nonetheless. I do drink one 16 oz bottle of home brewed Kombucha per day and likely do not drink enough water. Another factor is that since march 11 th I've trying to re-wire my brain to become an early riser and waking up between 4-4:30. I go to bed around 8:30-9:30. This has been extremely hard for me bc I tend to be one who prefers to sleep in. My reason for doing this is that the mornings are my only time to get anything accomplished for me such as exercise. For now I have been going on small walks trying to attain a goal of 10,000 steps for the day (using my fitbit to track). But sadly, this is my only form of exercise.
