Jessica Wurth Tiemann
I am not a coffee drinker, but I do drink Choffy (roasted and ground cacao beans) There are no other ingredients other then that, is this whole30 compliant? I usually would drink it with a splash of coconut cream. I went to put some in my french press this morning, and then thought I'd better check before I did! Snicci
That sounds awesome! I would do 1/2 choffy and 1/2 coffee for fun! Where can one find the roasted and ground cocoa beans?
Jessica Wurth Tiemann
Hooray, best news ever, thanks!! Snicci, I know you can order something like Choffy called Crio Bru from Amazon, and here in Utah the health food stores carry it too (maybe because it's a Utah based company?) Or you can order Choffy on their website, but it can get pricey with shipping.

What is the best flavor of the Crio Bru, I visted their website and see a few options. thanks,
Delaine Ross
Hey! I got Crio Bru in today but I can't seem to get the strength right. How much do you put in and how long do you steep if youre used to relatively strong coffee?
Adagio
I tried it and to me it tasted like watered down hot chocolate. Maybe I am doing something wrong. I followed the directions, though.
Lora Friedenthal
I think watered down hot chocolate might actually be just what it is. I add coconut milk, and it definitely hits the chocolate spot for me. I use a small french press and 4T of grinds, replacing 1T on a second brew. Jessica, is that how you'd describe the drink you're making?
jaymayllc
I put raw cocoa nibs in the grinder w/my organic dark roast coffee...then before I brew I sprinkle cinnamon over the grounds...YUM!
ingmarie
Great, now I will put it in my morning smoothie (veggies and fruit w/almond milk only)
GFChris
Great, now I will put it in my morning smoothie (veggies and fruit w/almond milk only) FYI: smoothies, even with compliant ingredients, are discouraged on a Whole30. The idea is to chew your food vs. drink it, as chewing is more satiating.

I use raw cocoa nibs too, except I just put them in on top of the ground and use my french press. The hot water melts them. I let it steep for about 5-10 mins. I think the longer it sets the better the flavour,
