beespajamas
The idea of any kind of food is very unappealing to me right now. I am not exactly nauseated, but I feel like I am moving in that direction. I wanted to read some of my paleo cookbooks and paleo recipes online today to get shopping and cooking ideas, but the very idea seems to unsettle my stomach. This is not a rejection of Whole30 compliant food...I have no cravings for anything else. I did eat a Whole30 compliant breakfast. Is this just part of the weariness of Day 7-8 described on the timeline?
Tina R
I think so. Someone else posted the exact same thing today and they are on day 6. Keep trying to eat according to the meal planning template, this too shall pass. Good Luck!
cmcdonald77
This same exact thing happened to me on Day 8. By day 9 I was back in the swing of things. Sounds like it's pretty normal.
MmeBD
I am on day 23 and I still get this a little, but the end of that first week I had to force myself to eat something at night. The nice part of that is that not being hungry for anything, as opposed to not being hungry for real food but having cravings for crapola, is a huge, huge win for me. I think that is one of the greatest gains I have made so far. It is a big adjustment to get used to not having blood sugar swings and cravings. I believe some of what I formerly registered as hunger was really over-caffeination, poor nutrition, or sugar bust/boom cycling. Good luck and enjoy the ride. julesGA
I came to post about this same thing. I'm on day 24 and nothing sounds good and I just don't want to eat. I have lovely veggies on my counter and I look at them and just think "ugh". It's very frustrating.
El Sabor Asiático
I'm very much an impulsive, emotional eater, so when that is taken away -- when my cravings disappear, and I start eating from actual body hunger cues instead of impulse-driven appetite -- I do get that "food...ugh" feeling where most food just stops appealing to me at all. I'm used to more of a spike-crash type of diet where I eat mostly highly-stimulating foods with a lot of sugar, so feeling more even-keel makes me feel kind of flat. I'm not sure how really to deal with that except to adjust my perspective. What I was feeling before Whole30 wasn't really a hunger for food but a craving for stimulation. So I try to reframe my thinking so that I see food as fuel rather than entertainment, and focus my desire for stimulation towards hobbies and fun (non-food-centered) experiences.
