Clabby
I had a weird experience today. I had a big breakfast of sweet potato hash over kale, then finished it off with a large orange. About an hour later I felt sweaty, shaky and just weird. This is a feeling I would get quite often pre-W30, but hadn't experienced since starting W30 until today. Are oranges known to spike your blood sugar? I assume that's what it was. I just waited until it passed. Normally, I would eat a slice of bread with a generous slab of peanut butter on it, but clearly I couldn't do that with W30. Maybe oranges are a no go for me (though I've had several since I started).

Tina R
Yes oranges can spike your blood sugar. A lot of diabetics drink orange juice if their blood sugar is low.
Clabby
Yes, I did. It was basically ground beef, maybe 1/4lb, sautéed with onion and garlic and about 1/2 an average size sweet potato. I have this almost every morning followed by fruit, but this morning was different, because I usually add two eggs and scramble it up. This morning we were out. Maybe not enough protein? Moderators LadyM Posted April 8, 2014 Moderators Share Posted April 8, 2014 I'd up the protein and skip the fruit and see how that feels.
