Hungry before bed: to snack or not to snack?

Day 8 of the Whole30 and loving it so far.  I usually eat dinner around 7pm but I'm often not in bed until 11:30 or midnight.  My issue isn't the sugar dragon (although I have battled it - and won!) or habit, it's that 4 - 5 hours have passed and I start to get hungry.  I've been good about sticking to the meal template (plenty of veggies, protein, and fat) and I'm eating to satiety, so eating more at dinner doesn't feel like a great option for me.

Since bedtime is 4 - 5 hours after dinner, does it make sense to have a snack if I'm hungry?  Or would it be better to just go to bed (running the risk of trouble sleeping because of hunger)?

I guess I see no problem in snacking before bed time if you are compliant and making wise choices.  For me?  Eating a handful of nuts is very different than eating a hard boiled egg even though both fit within Whole30.  I would go to bed earlier and wake up earlier but that is me.  I love mornings and I need my 7-8 hours sleep
