beadgirl
Today ends day 7 for me. Have not cheated once, even when my family went to the Cheesecake Factory. While they ate cheesecake I had a bowl of strawberries, and that was OK. But I am still struggling with hunger pains, especially at bedtime. Any advice? GlennR
Eat more? Also, be sure that a sizable portion of your meals is protein, which keeps you satiated longer; don't skimp on the meat, fish, and eggs (about 4-8 oz. every meal). And consider adding some good, heavy paleo-okay carbs, such as plantains, yams, sweet potatoes, and squashes (see http://balancedbites.com/2011/08/paleo-diet-carbs.html) to your menu. I've personally found that I need to have these dense carbs at least once or twice everyday; otherwise I stay hungry. I can eat as big a salad as I like, and still be hungry -- leaves and such just do not sate. Also, next time you're family eats cheesecake in front of you, eat a steak in front of them. :-) Hope this helps.
momof2osaurus
Yep, I'd vote "eat more" too! Make sure you're getting enough fat in addition to the protein and good carbs!
GFChris
It is likely you need to eat more, and/or drink more water. To obtain more specific feedback, if you post 2-3 days worth of your food log, along with daily water intake, nightly hours of sleep and your activity level in the Troubleshooting section, folks can give you feedback on possible tweaks.
