buildingmytemple
My best friend had been pinning all sorts of Paleo and Whole 30 things on pinterest. WTG for her I thought. Then one day she asked if I would join her in doing the whole 30. Now I had read very briefly over some of her pins so I knew a little about what it was. When she asked me to join her I nearly fell over with laughter. Simply put I LOVE FOOD. Food of every kind, shapes, and sizes. Truth is, the more I saw her pinning, the more her determination got me interested. So I brought the topic back up. I asked her for more information and told her I would seriously consider doing Whole 30 with her. So together we shall start our Whole 30 journey on 4-28-14! Im all sorts of excited, nervous, and scared all at the same time lol. Why did I decide to join her?...Well I read about the benefits, and testimonies. I have hypoglycemia, I am severely overweight, I feel bloated and tired all the time and still have to take care of my family of 6. I have 4 young boys ranging from 10mos-10yrs old that need a happy, healthy mom around for a very very long time yet. So that is my reason to do the Whole 30. Maybe if my husband sees me successful in it and good things come of it, then maybe he too will take the journey for himself. A wife can only pray My name is Trela, and I am ready to build my temple for God and my family!

buildingmytemple
Thank you Peg. Glad to hear your first day went well. My bestie and I are going to be doing some pre-planning tomorrow. I have set up a Whole30 binder for myself that has the rules, a week by week meal plan, I will be adding the recipes for each week behind those meal plans so that they are ready and accessible when I need them, and I have also added my own special daily journaling pages with motivational quotes on them. Hoping all of that will help keep me going. Oh and I put the timeline in there. It is great knowing what I can expect throughout the process...it makes it a little less scary. I wish you the best of luck on your own journey and Ill say a prayer for ya too God bless!
