Jojoinuk
Hi all, I just wanted to share with you a super yummy recipe I made last night. I adjusted it slightly based on what I had in my cupboard. I like to try out lots of new recipes from a variety of paleo cookbooks but this might just be my favourite yet. I probably woudn't have too often though as I do try to limit my nut intake. The ginger gave it a bit of a sweet taste, the almond butter a nutty flavour and a bit of a kick from the chilli - so good! If you would like to try the recipe is availabe here http://www.health-bent.com/sides/paleo-pad-thai I didn't use the fish or chilli garlic sauce but added in some chilli flakes for a bit of heat. I was really satiated after this meal and wasn't feeling hungry this morning when I woke up which I normally am. Hope you enjoy!
sjosey77
This is funny because I used this same cookbook to make the Chili Thai meatballs and left out the sauce and added pepper flakes. It was so darn delicious that I plan to make it again this weekend. Oh, I did add a 1/2 chopped onion, 3 garlic cloves and used 1/2 tsp cream of tar tar, 1/4 baking soda added to 2 TB of warm water and omitted the coconut flour because I don't like that texture. I left off the sauce because they were so flavorful it wasn't needed. Sweet, a little heat and savory. YUM. I will have to try the pad thai now based on your recipe! Thanks! Should I ask what we are cooking tonight?
sjosey77
I meant to add, that anything that has been cooked from Health Bent has been super delicious. The Gyro Salad rocks and the pumpkin chili was a nice suprise. Some things need to be modified for the Whole 30 but all in all it is packed full of flavor! Jojoinuk
I saw the chilli thai meatballs in the cookbook and throught they looked amazing, I'll have to give that a go. Pumpkin Chilli sounds amazing as well, thanks for the heads up. There are so many nice paleo recipes out there. I've never been so interested in cooking until I became Paleo. It forces me to try new things which I love. Dinner tonight not so exciting, I'll be home late so took some chilli out of the freezer and will have that with some corgette noodles. sjosey77
Mine is about the same..... rotisserie chicken and some sort of veggies. To be determined. I guess we will have to get more creative tomorrow! Yes, please try the others, I don't eat lamb so I substitute ground turkey for the gyros. They were really great and flavorful. Megan is really good about flavor anyway. For some reason I tend to go back to this cookbook over and over.
