Dennay
Starting Whole30 for my horrible GI issues. I had a colonoscopy in the fall which concluded that I have a combo of bad IBS and diverticulitis. I also had a polyp removed. I'm 25 and in otherwise reasonably good health and a healthy weight. I'm on day 2 of my Whole30 and I'm worried that my IBS is being exacerbated. Has anyone completed a Whole30 with similar issues? Does it get worse before getting better? Any approved foods in particular to avoid? Are there any "go to" foods for you? Thanks so much for the help in advance!
Tiffany Precissi
I believe early on in the Whole30 your body is adjusting to being rid of the inflammation. Give it a few days and see if you feel better. Your body is switching gears! As soon as I gave up Gluten as part of going paleo my IBS all but disappeared. I can tell when I stray too far from the path because I will get a stomach ache and perhaps a small bout of IBS but nothing like the daily episodes I was experiencing for years. Good luck!
