LSchroeder3
I really feel like I need clarification on this: Day 9 of the Whole30 Daily newsletter states: "They say timing is everything, and Whole30 is no exception. If your program falls around a special trip or vacation, then you've got some challenges ahead of you. Before that vacation starts, you've got one important question to answer... to Whole30 or to not Whole30? Decide ahead of time whether your Whole30 will stay intact through the entire vacation or whether you'll be going "off-road" while you're offline. No judgment either way- if you decide to take a Whole30 leave of absence, we understand. But make the decision up front, so it's a deliberate choice, not a spur-of-the-moment caving to temptation that you may regret later." It then goes on to discuss some points relating to this about how this should be handled. So, am I right to understand that if you come across a vacation or another very prominent juncture in your life, it is acceptable to consume Whole30 non-compliant foods in small amounts if you choose to do so deliberately beforehand and do not cheat or slip up and still continue on the Whole30 without needing to restart? JJB
No. If you choose to go off-road for a special occasion, you are choosing to end your W30 and restart at a later date. The point is to get the off-plan foods out of your system for a full 30 days.
missmary
JJB is correct. You can chose when to do your whole30 and if you decide you don't want to be on a whole30 during your vacation, we will support you in that choice, and cheer you on when you start (or re-start) your whole30 at a later date.
