peahen65
After my gallbladder was removed 8 years ago, all was well for a few years then I developed biliary reflux (bile backing up into my lower stomach causing gastritis). The symptoms are like a severe gallbladder attack. I've been free of this for the past couple years and last night I had a flare up, then again today. I think the animal fats I ate yesterday and today are what triggered it. I looked around the forum and see enzymes suggested. Can someone share specifically what enzymes have helped them with digestion? I used to take cholestyramine powder (MD's rx) to absorb the excess bile. I'll start that again tonight. I am also wondering if nuts are a digestive problem for me. Next Whole30, I'm going to experiment with nut free.
Tina R
I also had my gallbladder removed. I take probiotics (pro 5 at the moment and sometimes vital 10), I take Hydro-Zyme (enzymes) and I take Beta-TCP to help me digest fat. The last two are manufactured by Biotics Research Corp, Texas 77471. The first two I got from my chiropractor, they are private labeled. Good Luck.
