Prepped yesterday - started today!

i started my first whole 30 today, after prepping all day yesterday. so far, it's been great!

 

i began a 'lifestyle change weight loss initiative' (i HATE the term 'diet'!) on january 1, and so far i've lost 32 pounds by cutting out processed foods and eating 'clean'. i've been reading up on paleo and i have a couple of friends who've done and loved whole 30, so i thought i'd give it a try. i spent some time on 'the clothes make the girl' blog getting ideas for making this easier, and spent most of the day yesterday getting ready for the week, including a well-planned shopping trip and a flurry of cooking. i just cranked up the music and went at it! as a result, i have proteins and veg prepped and in the fridge that should last me until next weekend. i've had two meals so far today, and it's such a joy to just go to the fridge and pick out a few things to heat and eat. i have the hardest time staying on track when i hit the 'i don't want to cook - what's easy' wall...

 

looking forward to seeing how this affects my health & well-being. onward!

Well done on losing 32lbs! Sounds like you've got the right attitude going in to this too - I wasn't as prepared & so the first few days were quite hard. By week 2 I'd learned & did a big batch cook.
