LisaLulu Posted April 25, 2014 Share Posted April 25, 2014 I have a HORRIBLE cold and when I'm this sick I usually just eat a can of chicken soup, crappy ingredients be damned. Well since that's not an option (and there is no way I'm quitting on day 17 over SOUP) today I whipped up an alternative in just 20 minutes that is much more delicious and completely soothes my ills. 4 cups water 1 carrot diced 1 parsnip diced 1 teaspoon dehydrated onion flakes 1 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon celery seeds 1-2 cups cooked chicken (I used leftover roasted chicken) I boiled everything but the meat for about 20 minutes, added in the meat and then served.
