angifi
Can I have these ? Recipe link: http://www.primalbody-primalmind.com/?p=459 I make them without any sweetener, and usually my ingredients look like this: virgin cocoa coconut oil almond butter ground macadamias ground almonds shredded coconut organic grass-fed butter - I realize butter isn't Whole30 approved - perhaps I could use ghee? I find they are a great little snack if I'm feeling a bit hungry post exercise, or if I have a craving for sugar. I'd like to make some to eat during the Whole30 because I keep reaching for almond butter or coconut oil,and I think these balls give a bit more nutritionally and can be quite portable. Thoughts? Derval
They're too much like a treat imo. A snack, if you need one, should be like a lilttle mini meal - protein, veg & fat. And I think they'd taste pretty yucky with ghee instead of butter too - very oily... hth, have a great w30.
Robin Strathdee
And I think they'd taste pretty yucky with ghee instead of butter too - very oily... That's a good thing to remember in general, too! I made some (not approved) cookies for my MIL's birthday and used ghee instead of butter. They were like yummy lemon grease balls until I baked them... Ghee and butter are not the same
