tj2650
Ok, I admit it.. I love rhubarb. Problem is I cannot think of a single recipe to make with it that would not be SWYPO. Please let me know what recipes you can come up with. TJ
Moderators ultrarunnergirl Posted May 2, 2014 Moderators Share Posted May 2, 2014 NomNomPaleo had a cranberry-cherry sauce recipe that I used for Thanksgiving, no sugar needed. I bet a similar strategy would work for a topping/side over pork or chicken. BAM!
LouH
That's a tough one, I can't imagine eating rhubarb without added sugar, too sour for me I think.
Vian
Stew it with a sweeter fruit like apples, peaches, or blueberries, add some spices and make a barbecue sauce for meat.
SarahInParis
I recently made a batch without sugar. I ate small quantities but after a couple of days the taste grew on me. It was kinda it's own thing, instead of it being a throwback to something I used to eat. I do like lemon and other sour things though, and I've been sugar & sweetener free for 7 months...
