hatk4
I am on day 13 and feeling great except when I try to eat protein - a big issue. Two days ago I started to literally force myself to eat protein. I've tried eggs, pork, turkey, chicken, and beef. No matter what the protein source my body starts to tell me - NO MORE from the first bite. Is this normal? Before starting the Whole30 I knew I could much more easily transition to being a vegetarian than to eat all this meat but I wanted to try it out and I'm feeling so go (when I'm not trying to eat protein) that I really want to make it the full 30 days. I can eat nuts without any problems. Thoughts? Ideas?
LisaLulu
I have this issue sometimes. The easiest thing for me is mixing it in with tons of veggies (especially root veggies) and using a LOT of salt.
GlennR
Yeah, try things like stews, hashes, frittatas, thick soups, etc. where the protein is chopped or minced and blended with the veggies.
daiquiry
I had this overtion feeling toward protein during my carb flu at week 1. It passed now, but I started taking digestive enzymes and stuck to the plan forcing myself to eat. I just made sure there was at least something exciting for me on the plate besides protein. No problem with it now.
