wyoinap
I feel fine after eating these meals but after lunch and dinner I have a "feel like a could use a little more food" feeling. It passes to an extent but I'm ready to eat 4-5 hours later. I don't eat pre workout food or post (because I eat breakfast after workout). I do bump my protein to 6 ounces at lunch AND dinner however (or more if I crave it). Breakfast: 3 eggs, 1 banana, Coconut oil in my coffee Lunch: Chicken thighs, 2 cups veggies along with 1/2 cup of butternut squash, 1 whole avocado for 2 fats (and I love it) Decaf with coconut milk (compliant) Dinner: Salmon, 2 cups veggies, a huge handful of coconut flakes and 1/2 avocado. Not stuffed but still hmmmmm, wanting something? eat fat? protein? veggies?
Haren.13
Veggies in your breakfast, and I'm sure a mod will advise you to have a pre- and post-workout snack, even if you're eating breakfast after. Otherwise I think it looks like the template.
Moderators Tom Denham Posted May 14, 2014 Moderators Share Posted May 14, 2014 You are getting enough protein and fat, but you need veggies at breakfast and you probably need more veggies at lunch and dinner too. Not eating a post-workout meal of lean protein means your muscles are not fed within the short window they are especially open after exercise. I found that I had less muscle soreness when I finally started eating within minutes after a workout. Just eating breakfast is convenient, but it is not a best practice.
