DeannaDaniels
Starting my 2nd while30 and I sometimes have a hard time getting my veggies, especially meal1. I just made a wonderful coffee drink blended with coconut milk carrot juice and cinnamon. Is this ok, and as far as the carrot juice, is it ok to just drink it? The only ingredient is carrot juice. Thanks!
Moderators Tom Denham Posted May 21, 2014 Moderators Share Posted May 21, 2014 Drinking juice is not okay. We want you to eat your carrots, not drink them because the digestion of whole veggies is slower than the digestion of juiced veggies. Fast digestion means you don't stay full as long and either need to eat more or go hungry. Neither is good. The carrot juice, coconut milk, coffee drink sounds awful to me, but is okay for you during a Whole30.
DeannaDaniels
Thanks Tom! But don't knock it till you try it you don't taste carrot but it adds a depth of flavor to the drink. I don't know what made me try it but I'm glad I did. So if I have this with some eggs, I also need additional veggies?
missmary
So if I have this with some eggs, I also need additional veggies? 100% yes. you need veggies, and a lot of them. Try for 2 cups worth at each meal.
