Kayt
I was terrified! seriously terrified, and had friends looking at me going... your going to do what? But you know what Here i am 10 days in and I love it so far. the changes are big, as I also dropped caffiene out at the same time. And the headaches were strong. But I am finding myself less obsessed with food already. I have found myself skipping the eating out of emotional stress, and social obligation already. I am a director of youth ministires at a church, and every week the parents provide a meal. I have talked to the parents just to say, "hey don't get offended, if I bring my own food I am doing this program". And the parents have been amazing asking questions and making food that I am able to eat. It has been aweosme. I also refuse to call the whole 30 a diet, it is a program to me. Diets are bad and scary!
avaericlisa
Started the same time. Wow I give you credit for the caffeine. I'm feeling the same why. I have slayed the sugar dragon. And I don't miss the obsession. Yea! I know you will do well. Rock it out!
selichme
Hi Kayt! I started the whole 30 may 18th as well. I also refuse to call the Whole 30 a diet. To me, I'm just living a happier, healthier lifestlye. The sugar dragon still haunts me, whispers to me on some days how good a carrot cake cupcake or a bag of jolly ranchers would be, but I have resisted and continue to resist! The sugar dragon is growing weak . I'm so happy that you have the support of your family and that they even make meals that you can enjoy. I am trying to get my family into doing the Whole 30 with me but it's like: No grain? No legumes? No sugar?! I think all the restrictions scare them, but I have somehow convinced my sister to join me. One down, 4 to go.
Kathy622
I started on the 18th as well. We are over halfway done!!!!! I have been talking to a friend all day that wants to do it. I hope she does! I wish my mom would do it. She has fibromyalgia. Of course her answer was she couldn't give up sugar for 30 days. And that she would have to cook a separate meal for my stepdad... although last time I checked he ate meat and veggies!! I feel so much better. Before I felt bloated and gassy all the time. My clothes are fitting so much better! I will incorporate some things back into my diet (If I react well to them) but I can see myself eating this way more often than not.
