[email protected]
I did the whole30 program in September and then followed Paleo until around February when I went on vacation. I am going back to strict so I began whole30 again as of this past Friday. I have been reading a lot about these "Skinny Dip Noodles" and on their website it says they are Paleo approved. My question is, are they? They equated this Konjac flour to powdered white carrots (um what?) and apparently it has no carbohydrates or, really, basically any nutritional value except for 26g of calcium and 4g of protein. What are your thoughts? Thank You Website for Reference http://www.skinnydipnoodles.com/pages/about-us
Moderators Tom Denham Posted May 28, 2014 Moderators Share Posted May 28, 2014 No. This zero everything stuff is not okay during a Whole30. If you want to grow fresh konjac and eat the roots, go for it. But if you want to make something with store-bought konjac powder, do it outside of a Whole30. This is not real food. Making noodles out of fresh zucchini is one thing, but eating zero calorie pasta noodles made of konjac flour is worse than SWYPO.
