lbeachteachkshealthy
This morning at church, I encountered a situation I did not prepare or think of in advance: Communion. Our church, like many offers a gluten free bread for celiacs to dip in the grape juice, so I chose to partake of that, although I have never been diagnosed as a celiac. I did wonder if this was Whole30 compliant and if it would require a start over. ??? Any thoughts out there on this topic?
Physibeth
The call on this has generally been that religion trumps your Whole30 and it is your choice to make.
Moderators Tom Denham Posted June 1, 2014 Moderators Share Posted June 1, 2014 Going the gluten free route is a good choice, because reaction to non-gluten grains seems to be less common than to wheat. Even a bite of gluten-free bread might make a fraction of a difference to your Whole30 experience, but not enough to worry about and not enough to consider suspending your religious practice for 30 days.
