Day 9 & issues for me & hubby

Recommended Posts

Today is day 9, and my husband & I (both 60) are struggling to stay awake in the evening and are having really active dreams, so even though we are getting 7-8 hours sleep/night, we are not waking rested. We are not noticing any difference in how clothes fit, any glow, or any of the other things that have been suggested as happening by this time. We just started Calm last night to see if that helps with the rest, and I'm hopeful it will help with the constipation I'm having since starting. We have never eaten this much meat so don't know if that is factoring in or not.

Maybe you need 8-9 hours of sleep.

If you have never eaten so much meat, you may be having some digestion problems. Taking digestive enzymes might be a big help and won't hurt. This article provides a good over view: http://whole9life.com/2012/09/digestive-enzymes-101/

This one might be useful too: http://whole9life.com/2012/04/probiotics-101/

...struggling to stay awake in the evening...

One thing that helped me, in the beginnning, was to allow myself the opportunity to sleep as much as my body seemed to need. You are healing. You may be chronically sleep deprived. You may need more sleep now than at other times in your life. If you are sleepy in the evening, try going to bed. I expect once you have done this for a while it will even out again and 8-9 hours will be sufficient, but for the moment, give youself a little grace.

Taking out all added sugar may have something to do with it as well, since sugar tends to keep you up. Without it as a stimulant, you may be experiencing your real fatigue for a change.
