jeanius2
My daughter and I are starting our 2nd Whole 30. We did it once, felt great, but didn't reintroduce methodically and then life got busy etc. I love the no artificial ingredients component. And we love naturally raised local proteins and produce. The big lesson for the diet for us is we have to cook constantly and plan to pack food when on the go. Amazing how easy it is to get too busy and find an excuse for take out or a frozen lasagna. Today is actually Day 1 since yesterday we ate cashews with rice bran oil. We're checking labels more carefully now. Going out to buy bunches of veges today. Stocked up on proteins over the weekend. Lots of cooking and sautéing veges tomorrow!
jeanius2
Making "The Best Chicken ..." today. I bought both Well Fed books last go around along with "It Starts with Food". Recipes in both are very helpful. Best Chicken is a staple for us. Throw together a salad and include that. Roasting chickens later too.
jeanius2
I've noticed that I crave fermented foods more while doing the Whole 30. Can't get enough Sunja's Kimchi.
