Starting today, June 7!

Hi all - I'm Kelly, in Denver. I'm 48, about 30 lbs overweight, and have fibromyalgia. I've known for a while that I probably need to cut some things out of my diet, but have always loved my bread, cheese, wine and sweets too much to start. I'm feeling particularly lousy these days, so I'm finally in. Had a good breakfast, and am noticing that I am already having cravings for bread and dairy even though I'm not hungry!

I have no idea if it is or not but I agree ... Take it and keep going with the Whole 30. Basically it's a crap/carb withdrawal headache/migraine. They are brutal! You can always try without the meds for the next whole30, when your body has less adjustment issues. Good luck!

I started on June 7th also.  Its been going great till today.  Everything is annoying me and I'm really tired!!! Just glad there has been no withdrawal headache.  I still feel positive about everything just don't want anyone talking to me right now!

How is everyone doing on day 7? I noticed today that my feet and back which almost constantly hurt don't hurt nearly as much! They're mainly just stiff rather than actually hurting! Eating has been going well. I've had no cravings and haven't needed to snack at all because my meals are holding me over till the next meal.

I'm a little worried about a birthday party I'm going to tomorrow but I plan to eat before I go and maybe bring something compliant in case I get the urge to eat. I'm also going out of town for 2 days next weekend and already thinking about how I'll handle that.

I've been attending a birth for nearly 24 hours and I'm so tired.  I've had two hours of sleep.  So not what Whole30 was suggesting lol!  It's my job, my calling though.  I can't believe how hard it is to eat whole foods, even in the hospital lol.

Great job sticking to it Diamond Doula!

I'm visiting my folks next week end and it should be interesting as they follow weight watchers.

I'll just bring some food with me and hope for the best!

Meat and veggies, how hard can it really be, right?

I'm going out of town this Friday and saturday and have hopefully planned properly. Luckily the hotel room has a fridge and microwave so I can make a casserole type dish and just heat of up. We will be eating out Friday night but I've already looked up the menu and should be good.

I think I have enough food for my trip. I can always pick up extras at the grocery store.

I'm travelling to visit my daughter in Ottawa and we are going to run (well she plans to walk it LOL ) the Run or Dye 5K. We did it last year and had a blast. I drag her out to show her people exercising, as my family is generally not very active, and to show her that a 5k walk won't kill her LOL. It's an hour of walking. Use your legs before you lose them!

How is everyone doing?iI'm feeling pretty good! I was getting sick of the same food but decided to make mayo last night. Its been awesome on everything I've had today. Physically my arthritis type pains in my hands and feet are gone and my lower back pain is minimal! Because I'm pregnant and was getting nauseous often I had to switch to 4 meals a day. Breakfast and meal 2 are about equal to the amount of one full meal. Cravings are nonexistent

Wow! Good for you for attempting this while pregnant! I was doing LCHF when I got pregnant but ended up caving to peer pressure (you can't follow any kind if diet while pregnant, even if it's just a healthy eating plan, you'll harm the baby)

I have noticed my right shoulder pain has improved but I'm a little nervous about being too optimistic. It feels early still.

Survived travelling to my parents and first day here. Glad I brought along extra food.

Hey everyone!  I'm still here but my Papa has been on his death bed and that with the combo of taking care of a friends farm has kept me away.  I'm so torn on how I feel on his passing.  He passed last night.  He told me prior he was ready and not to be sad and I guess I am kinda thankful he is not suffering anymore.  I'm going to miss him but at the same time seeing him struggle was hard.

I've stuck to whole 30 and physically feeling great and mood wise I'm okay considering what is going on.

When out of town, Ruby Tuesdays does a compliant petite sirloin.  Just asked it be cooked in oil and get the steamed broccoli and grilled zucchini, just tell them you are allergic to butter.

I'm sorry for your loss.  I can tell how much he meant to you by your words.    It's not an easy time but your friends and family will help you through. You sound very strong.

Thank you!  He was a great man, Vietnam and Korean War Veteran.  He was a proud man, wanted to pass away at home without pain.  I thank God for morphine.  I'm so happy that he received Christ in his life a few months before he past, because of his pride he never wanted to hear about Jesus.  He was stubborn.  I find my comfort in the fact I will see him again on the other side of rainbow bridge.

Today I made the mistake of too many dates!  I thought they were safe!  I knew they were too good to be true.  I got a whopping headache a few hours after eating them.  I'm pretty sure it was a sugar crash, natural or not.

Dinner I discovered sweet potatoes with cinnamon and coconut butter, yum!!!!  That was all I had.  I'm getting kinda bored of chicken and too broke for steak right now.

I may never go back to the regular American diet.  I feel great.  Tonight I exercised.  Roller bladed two miles.  I've not done that in years.  I'm whooped, but in a good way.  My moms 50th is July 3rd and I am going to enjoy it and then do another full whole 30.  I won't post about it much anymore, but this def works.  10 more pounds and I should be off my high blood pressure meds.
