100 percent grassfed and organic? and almond milk?

HeyJoe

I just started today and I just read the shopping list which states we should have only grassfed and organic meat. Nothing factory farmed. So is this a requirement? Could I just go to safeway and buy my meat?

Also could I have almond milk if there's no added sugars or sweetners?

and lastly I'm wondering if I can have bacon, if it has no nitrates or nitrites with no added sugar or anything like that?

Thanks

Grassfed, pastured and organic meats are not a requirement, they're a recommendation.  If you are on a budget, this article is helpful while grocery shopping for a Whole30.

For almond milk, watch for carrageenan, vanilla extract, along with sugar/sweeteners.  Have a look at the Whole30 rules.

Bacon has to be sugar/sweetener free and free of any ingredients that are not Whole30 compliant (see the rules again). Nitrates/Nitrites are allowed on a Whole30.

The bacon is so hard to find! But I love Naked Bacon. It's a Sugar Free, No nitrates/Nitrites, free from chemicals/preservatives. It's soooo good. And they SHIP it to you!! nakedbaconco.com it's yumyumyum!!
