HeyJoe
I just started today and I just read the shopping list which states we should have only grassfed and organic meat. Nothing factory farmed. So is this a requirement? Could I just go to safeway and buy my meat? Also could I have almond milk if there's no added sugars or sweetners? and lastly I'm wondering if I can have bacon, if it has no nitrates or nitrites with no added sugar or anything like that? Thanks
GFChris
Grassfed, pastured and organic meats are not a requirement, they're a recommendation. If you are on a budget, this article is helpful while grocery shopping for a Whole30. For almond milk, watch for carrageenan, vanilla extract, along with sugar/sweeteners. Have a look at the Whole30 rules.Bacon has to be sugar/sweetener free and free of any ingredients that are not Whole30 compliant (see the rules again). Nitrates/Nitrites are allowed on a Whole30. Delaine Ross
US Wellness also has a sugar/nitrate-free product. When I can't find compliant bacon, I get pork belly instead.
