Whole 30- I'm a believer

At age 56 I have completed my first Whole 30.

I went into this wondering if I could do it.  I didn't have any particular health issues. However, my weight has crept up gradually and continually since menopause.   I have a regular exercise routine but  have been troubled by insomnia and after work cravings for foods that are not really good for me.

My nephew's wife, being 6 mo pregnant, embarked on this journey and raved about how she felt.  I got interested.  I figured if it was good for her during pregnancy, I could certainly give it a try.

My results:

weight down 5 pounds.

Clothes fit much nicer now.

I have found wonderful and delicious recipes using more vegetables and whole foods.

I can do without  wine every evening and can choose when to enjoy some or not.

Cravings for sweets and snacks are much less.

Met a new best friend,  spaghetti squash!!

It just feels good to take care of your body and give it the right kind of nourishment.

If you are considering doing this, really prepare yourself and go for it.
