justdiana
I'm a teacher on summer vacation with several 3 & 4 day road trips & one week long vacation scheduled over the next two months. Is there any value in transitioning, at least for the time I am home, to this eating style? I seems like even moving toward the Whole30 would be helpful. All or nothing thinking doesn't set well with me. I can shoot for an official Whole30 when school starts and the routine is more established. It seems like even a gradual or partial transition would be beneficial... Any thoughts, comments?
Guest WholeStanley
Sounds like that would be a great idea for you - there is never any harm in eating whole, nutritious foods!
higs
Hi Diana, Yes! In my own experience I think it actually really helped. I did a non complaint version for a couple of weeks to experiment with some of the foods, trying coconut milk, looking at different recipes and finding good web resources. Even those 2 weeks made a big difference for me. When I was ready to start a compliant Whole30 (I'm no expert since I'm just on Day 11), I think it was less overwhelming and my symptoms weren't too bad those first few days. No harm in experimenting for the summer until you're ready to start. It worked great for me!
