candiigraham
I've been on it since the end of April. (My mother passed in March and I just couldn't get to sleep or stay to sleep). I was thinking that maybe today is the day that I wean myself from my Ambien. I am taking 2 tablets at night. Maybe reducing it to 1 for next 3 nights. I'm only on Day 3 of Whole30. Just wondering if I should give more time on the Whole30 before I start to wean myself. I start seeing a counselor to "talk" next week. Moderators Tom Denham Posted June 20, 2014 Moderators Share Posted June 20, 2014 Whether it is time to wean yourself off of Ambien probably has more to do with how you are adjusting to the loss of your mother than where you are in your Whole30. I would probably wait until I had begun talking with the counselor before making changes. And many people don't start enjoying better sleep until their second week even when they are not grieving.
