Day 3 - Questioning saturated fat

I'm on Day 3 and can't seem to satisfy questions and pressure I am getting from family about the amount of saturated fat I am eating. I've read 'It Starts with Food' but excerpts don't seem to satisfy them. I had very high cholesterol, but lowered it to healthy on a vegan diet, which I cannot sustain. So, I really want to succeed on Whole30 but need convincing arguments. Any ideas?

Here's a good article from Chris Kresser: http://chriskresser.com/the-diet-heart-myth-cholesterol-and-saturated-fat-are-not-the-enemy

and

My suggestion: Get your cholesterol measured at the doctor, and promise the family you will get it checked in another 3 or 4 weeks. Also, it's important to ask for the MNR which will likely cost more, but its measurement is much more valuable to know.

For more on cholesterol and testing, read here:

Hope this helps! Maybe a good time to get your family to read It Starts With Food if they are concerned.
