If you'll be near a grocery store, or can bring a cooler, bring real food.

baby carrots

snap peas

celery

red pepper strips

guacamole or baba ghanoush (read labels)

hardboiled eggs

grilled chicken cut into strips

homemade burgers or meatballs

avocados

homemade mayo

mustard (read your labels)

baked sweet potatoes

Aidell's or Applegate Farms chicken & apple sausages (refrigerated case, check labels)

I'm also faced with this challenge.  I travel a lot for work and plan to bring some jerky, tuna, and dried fruit in my suitcase.  I am usually able to get a fridge in my hotel room, so I'm ok once I get there, but the long trips across country have me a little concerned.

I'm interested to hear what other options worked for you.  Please keep us posted!

Best,

Tuni

Besides the tuna in bags, veggies, fruit, and compliant bars, I have found organic raw almond butter in single serve packets by Artisana. It is a 1.06 oz pack and the only ingredient is organic raw almonds. I found them at WholeFoods on a bottom shelf. I will try to attach a picture but I'm not so good at that.
