JWoodall 0
Traveling next week to ATL to work with the homeless. I'm Paleo for health reasons and need help planning with nonperishable foods. Any recommendations?

janna 19
I wrote this post that might help give you ideas: http://forum.whole9life.com/topic/20655-surviving-a-7-day-river-trip-what-to-pack/%C2'> It's definitely a little bit of a different trip, but a lot of what I brought was non-perishable. healthyAbby 64
I carry around the starkist tuna in olive oil packets in my bag/ purse. Bring carrot sticks, a cucumber or other veggies and you have a meal.
JWoodall 0
Thanks! I won't have access to a cooler though.
Moderators ultrarunnergirl 1618 Posted July 31, 2014 Moderators Share Posted July 31, 2014 bummer. RXBars are a fave for me. If you can hit a grocery daily, baby carrots and such will last most of a day without going bad, even without a cooler/refrigeration.
Tuni 153
I'm also faced with this challenge. I travel a lot for work and plan to bring some jerky, tuna, and dried fruit in my suitcase. I am usually able to get a fridge in my hotel room, so I'm ok once I get there, but the long trips across country have me a little concerned. I'm interested to hear what other options worked for you. Please keep us posted! Best, Tuni
GrannieD 214
Besides the tuna in bags, veggies, fruit, and compliant bars, I have found organic raw almond butter in single serve packets by Artisana. It is a 1.06 oz pack and the only ingredient is organic raw almonds. I found them at WholeFoods on a bottom shelf. I will try to attach a picture but I'm not so good at that. Lol!
