rafaelax
Hi I wanna start the whole30 but i'm extremely anxious and prone to depression. I was wondering (since i read alcohol is a no no) if it would be ok to experiment taking Bach's flower remedies to help me out (they do contain alcohol, though i'm sure in low doses. Thank you! MeadowLily
Why not try a run without taking any supplements, vitamins or flower remedies with alcohol. When you start to feel better, you'll know it was the food. Great food is a remedy for depression.
Moderators Tom Denham Posted August 8, 2014 Moderators Share Posted August 8, 2014 Doing a Whole30 while taking even low doses of alcohol is an issue. We want you to get the full benefit of the Whole30 and not risk losing part of it to tinctures.
Vian
I asked the same question several months ago and got about the same answer. I found though that the Rescue Remedy didn't really work for me. What DID work, was L-Theanine. It's an amino acid from green tea and it really helps anxiety. I use Thorne brand because it seems to be the "cleanest" I've found, and also the most economical, but there are all kinds of brands out there. praxisproject
Fish/seafood and foods high in B vitamins help to support your serotonin functions. Bone broth is full of good stuff. Some people find cutting out caffeine helps too.
