BeckyB
I don't want to buy both cookbooks now, if I were to only get one, which one should it be? Thanks for any input! Becky

Moderators ultrarunnergirl Posted August 13, 2014 Moderators Share Posted August 13, 2014 WOW, tough question. They are both so excellent. Really, you can't go wrong whichever you pick.
Moderators ShannonM816 Posted August 13, 2014 Moderators Share Posted August 13, 2014 I don't know if you've had a chance to look through either book, but if you go to The Clothes Make The Girl you can see pdf samples of both books and the table of contents for both and see if either of them looks more appealing to you. Tina R
If you have the Amazon Kindle Unlimited you can read it for free. Also, keep an eye out for deals. I purchased Well Fed 2 and then saw a deal for Well Fed 1 for 0.99 cents on Amazon.com. I have also seen them for 1.99. I only like about 50% of the recipes in each book. The chocolate Chili was terrible but other people rave about it. I loved the fried sardines.
jent103
I'd go for Well Fed 2 only because Well Fed has been out for so long that a lot of the recipes are on her web site already. She has some from WF2 on there, but not nearly as many. That said, I'd definitely recommend getting both whenever your budget allows! The non-recipe information in there is great. Ellie_G
I would have a look at the contents pages for both books and see what you fancy. I bought Well Fed 2 as soon as it came out and liked it so much that I considered buying the Well Fed. On browsing the contents page in more detail, I realised that more of the recipes and suggestions in WF2 were to my taste. I'm already looking forward to her third book though! praxisproject
I liked #2 better But I loved #1 as well. Also, if you have a Kindle, you may be able to get the Kindle version cheap if you buy the paper version, from Amazon.
AllyB
Both. I use both on a regular basis. But....I would research the suggestion for the Kindle version. 99 cents sounds great!
praxisproject
If you love meatballs/burgers, #2 has a lot more of those. I like them because they're quick to prep
leesamahree
I think it depends to on where you are on your journey. 1 has alot of basic/starter information. sooooo helpful.
Jinkse21
I agree with jent103. A lot of the Well Fed recipes are on her site. Well Fed 2 is great, especially the banger, balls, and burgers section!
Administrators ladyshanny Posted September 10, 2014 Administrators Share Posted September 10, 2014 I love them both equally. 2 is a bit more complex and maybe a bit more adventurous in both technique & flavour combos whereas I feel like 1 might be more for beginners (hot plates, cold plates, more basic seasonings, not as exotic sauces). I would highly recommend them both if it eventually fits your budget...but you can't go wrong with doing eeny-meeny-money-mo and grabbing whichever one wins! Moderators ShannonM816 Posted September 15, 2014 Moderators Share Posted September 15, 2014 Get a copy of the e-book for $1.00 This is supposed to be a thank you for people who have bought the book, I'm not sure that posting the code here for everyone is quite in keeping with that.
