Olives - ferrous gluconate?

Hi,

I notice that my jar of black olives contains the following:

"Water, Pitted Black Olives, Salt, Stabiliser (Ferrous Gluconate)"

'Ferrous' makes me think iron - but I could be miles off here. Any one know if these are compliant?

Thanks

No it doesn't make it non-compliant. Obviously it's best if we can avoid additives altogether but ferrous gluconate is basically an iron supplement. Providing you have no problems with taking iron then it's OK

This was an answer posted previously by a Moderator in another "Can I have Olives?" thread in this forum.

My canned olives list Ferrous Gluconate as "added to stabilize color".  While not recommended, it is technically allowed on a Whole30.
