JennD4
My itching and hives started about two years ago BEFORE I started Whole30. I had made no changes in my life, it just started up one day. I tried Whole30 about 9 months later hoping for some relief but I did not stick with the strict Whole30 for more than the 30 days and wished I had. 30 days did not help with the hives (but helped with other health issues!). All I can get from doctors and specialists is that I have dermatographic urticaria. No one has figured out the cause. Loratidine keeps the symptoms at a minimum, so I am stuck with that at the present. I am going to try a second Whole30 now following the autoimmune list and am planning to do it for 60 days. I am hoping it is a matter of healing my gut which I realize could take awhile. Bottom line - it may not be related to Whole30.

OliviaB
About the hives, I started breaking out a month or so prior to Whole 30. However on day two it seems like it has gotten worst. I break out after dinner in large welts on my arms, inter thighs, neck and face. Benadyrl seems to help, just seems to be taking longer to kick in. Sounds like everything mentioned could be the reason. What does one eat?
Moderators SugarcubeOD Posted November 8, 2016 Moderators Share Posted November 8, 2016 Not sure what you mean by 'what does one eat'. Do you mean what should you eat? The thing with allergic or sensitivity reactions is that each person is different so you need to take note of what you're eating and what your reaction is and do a little bit of detective playing in your own context. You also want to notice things like changes in detergent, skin care, surroundings/environment, stress etc... it could be many things and it may very well not be related to Whole30.
