abacoian
Of course I don't want to discuss this here but maybe someone can answer. Before I started the whole 30 I went regular. I'm now on day 20 of whole 30, after I started I didn't go for a week. Then 2 days after that so thought it was going to be more often. But not for another 6 days. That was 5 days ago and haven't gone again yet. When I do I'm not constipated, no problems. But is this normal? I might be eating less but I eat 3 meals a day. Any info would be great. Moderators Tom Denham Posted August 22, 2014 Moderators Share Posted August 22, 2014 Going every day or two is considered normal generally. Going every day is normal for me. Going more than 2 days is not normal. Bowel movements are often disturbed when you change your diet, but should settle into a normal routine after a few weeks. Things that you might do to make sure you are as good as you can be. 1. Eat fermented foods that feed your gut probiotics. A secondary choice is to take a probiotic supplement. 2. Drink plenty of water... 1/2 ounce per pound of body weight per day. 3. Eat plenty of fat - follow meal planning template guidelines. 4. Take a magnesium supplement. Many people who begin taking Natural Calm - popular in Whole30 circles - have issues with diarrhea when they first start.
