Bathroom question

Recommended Posts

Of course I don't want to discuss this here but maybe someone can answer. Before I started the whole 30 I went regular.

I'm now on day 20 of whole 30, after I started I didn't go for a week. Then 2 days after that so thought it was going to be more often. But not for another 6 days. That was 5 days ago and haven't gone again yet. When I do I'm not constipated, no problems.  But is this normal? I might be eating less but I eat 3 meals a day.  Any info would be great.  Thank you

Going every day or two is considered normal generally. Going every day is normal for me. Going more than 2 days is not normal.

Bowel movements are often disturbed when you change your diet, but should settle into a normal routine after a few weeks.

Things that you might do to make sure you are as good as you can be.

1. Eat fermented foods that feed your gut probiotics. A secondary choice is to take a probiotic supplement.

2. Drink plenty of water... 1/2 ounce per pound of body weight per day.

3. Eat plenty of fat - follow meal planning template guidelines.

4. Take a magnesium supplement. Many people who begin taking Natural Calm - popular in Whole30 circles - have issues with diarrhea when they first start. :)
