stephgmarie
Tonight I was at a restaurant and ordered a side of vegetables, only steamed, and he confirmed that they would come "plain." After eating the cup of veggies, I realized there was definitely some butter on them. Not a significant amount, but enough for me to notice. Do I have to start over? Moderators Tom Denham Posted August 26, 2014 Moderators Share Posted August 26, 2014 The Whole30 includes several important parts. One part is a 30-day elimination of all potential food trouble makers. You say you ate some butter, but "not a significant amount, but enough for me to notice." Your ideas about how much is significant don't actually measure up. The amount necessary to matter is tiny. You may assume that you are not sensitive to milk proteins, but it is impossible to know for sure until you have eliminated milk proteins entirely for 30 days and then reintroduced them in a controlled manner. So here is the official word on starting over: http://whole30.com/2014/06/really-start-whole30/
